Hi, I’m Amanda - Founder and Principal Consultant at Ovation HR.
With over 12 years of experience in Human Resources, I help remote-first teams and startups build people strategies that are authentic, intentional, and tailored to their team.
My approach is people-first, business-smart, and refreshingly human. I’ve supported high-growth tech companies through everything from scaling hiring systems and onboarding workflows to designing performance processes, crafting values-aligned policies, and improving the employee experience from the inside out. I bring clarity, warmth, and just the right amount of humor to make HR feel like a natural part of your team, not a stiff, corporate add-on.
Clients come to me when they want HR that makes sense and feels good. They’re looking for something strategic, compliant, and culture-forward with none of the jargon or tone-deaf templates. Whether I’m acting as a fractional HR lead, running an employee experience interview, having a hard conversation, or jumping into a specific project, I meet every engagement with curiosity, care, and a deep commitment to your team’s success.
I’m SHRM-CP certified and hold a degree in Human Resource Administration. I live in Missoula, Montana, where I run Ovation HR alongside my husband Don and our two sweet (and very loved) pups, Jasper and Gracie. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the lake, belting karaoke, or binge-watching the latest reality show.

Head of Operations and Growth
Hi, I’m Don - Head of Operations and Growth. I make sure everything we do is thoughtful, intentional, and built to last. I lead operations, marketing, and sales, while bringing a strategic lens to how we run our business and how we help support yours.
Before Ovation HR, I spent over a decade in journalism and automotive sales, where I learned how to communicate clearly, connect with people quickly, and stay calm in just about any situation. These days, those skills show up in everything from streamlining our internal systems and building out marketing strategies, to crafting client resources, improving workflows, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. I’m the one behind the scenes connecting dots, tightening processes, and making sure our work runs smoothly so our clients can too.
I’m known for spotting inefficiencies others miss and turning “this is a mess” into “okay, now this makes sense.” I’m people-centered, process-driven, and always focused on how to make things work better for you, your team, and your time.
I hold a degree in Journalism from the University of Montana and work alongside my wife Amanda and our two spunky dogs, Jasper and Gracie. I drink too much black tea, count down the days until football season (go Steelers), and take real pride in helping build a business that treats people like people and helps create workplaces where teams feel valued, supported, and genuinely excited to show up.
