Who I am
Hi, I’m Amanda Fisher - Founder of Ovation HR and Principal Consultant
I’ve always been a problem-solver, a mediator, and the person others turn to for advice. I’m comfortable having the conversations most people avoid - not because they’re easy, but because they’re important. I’ve got the kind of face people want to tell their secrets to, the kind of spirit that encourages people to dream, and the kind of presence that makes space for people to show up as their full selves.
With over 12 years in HR, I’ve supported startups, nonprofits, and growing businesses through just about every “people” challenge - from recruiting and onboarding to performance, employee relations, change management, and culture work. I’m SHRM-CP certified and hold a degree in Human Resource Administration, but more importantly, I bring a people-first, collaborative approach that’s practical, down-to-earth, and tailored to your team.
I believe the best HR supports both the business and the people - because one can’t thrive without the other.
Outside of work, you can usually find me near any body of water (big Cancer energy), hanging with my two dogs and my husband, binge-watching reality TV, or singing a gut-wrenching ballad at karaoke to show off my vocals and (let’s be honest) crush the vibe.

Hi, I’m Don Fisher- HR Consultant\Operations and Growth
I help support the people, processes, and strategy behind the work we do for clients every day. My role spans operations, marketing, systems, and HR consulting support, with a focus on making HR feel clear, approachable, and genuinely helpful.
Before Ovation HR, I spent over a decade in journalism and automotive sales, where I learned how to ask thoughtful questions, communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and stay calm under pressure. Today, those skills show up in everything from policy and handbook development to compensation benchmarking, recruiting support, process improvement, employee listening work, and helping clients untangle complicated people challenges.
I’m especially passionate about taking information that feels overwhelming or messy and turning it into something practical, organized, and easy to understand. Whether I’m refining workflows behind the scenes or supporting client projects directly, my goal is always the same: help people feel supported while building systems that actually work.
I live in Missoula with my wife Amanda and our two very loved dogs, Jasper and Gracie. I drink too much black tea, count down the days until football season (go Pittsburgh Steelers), and take a lot of pride in building a business that treats people like people.
